Itinerary

Day 1Arrive in Kuala Lumpur - Malacca

Pick up from your hotel or airport and transfer to Malacca, about 2-hour drive south of Kuala Lumpur.

At dusk take a cruise down Malacca River. Discover awe-inspiring sights during the 40-minute journey through the city’s colourful history.

On Friday and Saturday nights, there is a market at Jonker Walk where you can find unique handicrafts and some local delicacies.

Overnight in Malacca at the Ramada Plaza or equivalent.

Day 2Malacca - Kuala Lumpur

Discover Malacca on a full day city tour.

Founded in 1403, Malacca is Malaysia’s oldest town, full of fascinating history and multi-cultural heritage.

Visit the Cheong Hoon Teng Temple, the oldest Chinese Temple in Malaysia, the Dutch Red Square Stadhuys and walk through the ruins of St. Paul’s Church and Fortress Porta de Santiago.

Then, have time to stroll along the Jonker Street, known for its antiques, souvenirs, arts and crafts.

After the tour transfer to Kuala Lumpur.

Overnight in Kuala Lumpur at the Traders Hotel or equivalent.

Day 3Kuala Lumpur

After breakfast depart for half day Kuala Lumpur city tour.

Heritage, history and culture await you on this panoramic tour that spotlights the city’s most celebrated landmarks and get to know each of these magnificent sites up close. See places like the gate of the king’s palace, national mosque, national monument and cenotaph, independence square and the famous Petronas Twin Towers.

Step back in time with a visit to the national museum, a fascinating centre dedicated to Malaysian history and culture.

After the tour transfer to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 4Fly to Penang - Gerogetown Sightseeing

Transfer to Kuala Lumpur airport for a short flight to Penang.

Proceed for about 40 minute drive to Georgetown is the colorful, multicultural capital of the Malaysian island of Penang.

Georgetown, named after King George III of England, is known for its well preserved colonial buildings.
Hear stories of the city’s past and present as you drive past its famous landmarks including Fort Cornwallis, Queen Victoria Memorial Clock Tower, Clan Jetty and Street of Harmony where mosque, kovil, temple and church sit along the same short stretch of road.

Next, visit the Colonial Penang Museum for a glimpse into the state’s rich heritage and make stops at Wat Chayamangkalaram Siamese temple and Dhammikarama Burmese temple to take in their striking architectural style. Later, pay a visit to a favourite local chocolate shop for an opportunity to browse some of its finest products.

Day 5Penang Hills and Temple

Meet the guide at the hotel and proceed for Hill and Temple half day tour.

Visit Kek Lok Si Temple, the largest Buddhist temple in Southeast Asia and arguably one of the most iconic landmarks in Penang. The centerpiece of the temple is the 7-tiered Pagoda of 10,000 Buddhas and adjacent to this imposing edifice is a bronze Statue of Guanyin (Goddess of Mercy), believed to be the tallest in the world.

For a panoramic view of Georgetown and the Straits of Malacca, hop on the funicular train and ride up to the top of Penang Hill, rising spectacularly 830 metres above sea level. It was once a cool hill retreat during the colonial days.
