Day 1Arrive in Cauayan - Banaue

Meet at the Cauayan airport transfer for about 5 hours to Banaue.

Banaue is home to spectacular hand-carved rice terraces, also dubbed as the “eighth wonder of the world” by some. Over the centuries, thus, Ifugaos carved bearing whole mountain rice terraces which they proudly call “the heavenly stairs.”

Day 2Banaue Rice Terraces

This morning you will be taken to the spectacular Rice Terraces. Stop by the Viewpoint to enjoy a unique panoramic view of the rice terraces.

Proceed with Batad trek. Batad Terraces is shaped as an amphitheatre and has served as means of survival to the Ifugao people in terms of farming and agriculture. It is said to be the most magnificent of all the rice terraces in the Ifugao province, although it takes more effort to climb up a hill to view this amazing man-made wonder that is carved steeply along the side of the mountain.

Proceed to Banga-an Village. A traditional village nestled in a panoramic valley of terraces. Walk around and mingle with the friendly natives and visit a typical home to see their life ways.

Day 3Banaue - Sagada Hanging Coffins

After breakfast, visit the Bontoc Museum. This museum was founded by the Belgian sisters who have been active in the area for decades. Take a peek in the past of the Cordilleras with the exhibits and displays featuring actual ancient tools and houses supported by old photos of the early times.

After the museum continue to Sagada. Explore this quaint little town and its wonders. Start your treks at St. Mary’s Church and pass through the graveyard behind it. Walk through the picturesque Echo Valley with lush trees and eminent limestone cliffs. Descend the subterranean caves used as burial grounds by the natives.

Day 4Sagada - Vigan

After breakfast, you will be driven to historical city of Vigan. Vigan has retained its Spanish charm with its cobbled streets, and horse drawn carriages. The architecture is a mixture of Spanish and Filipino designs.

Vigan has been declared as one of the UNESCO Heritage Sites. Have a tour around using a “kalesa” or horse-drawn carriage and feel like a resident of the old town in the time of Spanish occupation.

Overnight at the Luna Hotel or equivalent.


Day 5Vigan - Laoag

Morning at leisure in Vigan.

Transfer to Laoag Airport for your flight to your next destination
